About

I began with WordPress and small web apps, and over the last seven years moved into enterprise systems, fintech, and consumer products. I enjoy solving performance and data problems, improving developer experience, and shipping accessible, maintainable code.

At Coursera I focused on feature-led work to improve learner engagement — from designing and shipping the "Daily Goals Tracker" to modernizing the video player and introducing multilingual audio. I also built lightweight automation for incident triage and helped modernize tests and frontend practices to improve long-term reliability.

Senior Frontend Engineer — Coursera

Mar 2024 – Present

  • Led the design and implementation of the "Daily Goals Tracker" as part of Coursera's Milestones, Momentum, and Motivation (MMM) initiative — shipped to the Logged-in Homepage and My Learning tab to help learners track progress and stay motivated.
  • Ran experiments to simplify the Explore navigation and improve product discovery; focused on accessibility, performance, and learnings that inform future product decisions.
  • Built automated incident-management scripts and small tools that integrate with Datadog and PagerDuty and leverage cloud automation to streamline on-call workflows and triage.
  • Contributed to multiple engineering initiatives: migrating legacy services, removing outdated shims, enforcing frontend dependency policy, and modernizing tests (enzyme to React Testing Library) while optimizing bundling and load performance.
  • Led accessibility efforts by driving A11Y fixes and integrating an accessibility addon into Storybook to catch regressions earlier in the workflow.
