Coursera — product velocity & learning experience

I worked on cross-cutting frontend initiatives focused on learner engagement, accessibility, and reliability. I led the implementation of the "Daily Goals Tracker" to help learners monitor progress, ran experiments to simplify discovery flows, and partnered with designers to modernize the video player and add multilingual audio dubbing. To keep the platform resilient I built lightweight automation for incident triage and contributed to migrations, dependency policy enforcement, and test modernisation.

PayJoy — fighting fraud across borders

On a phone-financing platform with millions of users, fraud was a moving target. I led engineering efforts to detect and block fraudulent patterns and integrated a third-party liveness check to strengthen registrations. The work required careful SQL analytics on large datasets, safe rollouts, and a strong emphasis on keeping genuine users unaffected.

IES — modernizing a decade-old core

IES is an enterprise insurance platform that powered many major clients. We replaced fragile, procedural systems with a modern LaraVue stack, introduced automated tests where there were none, and rewired reporting engines to handle years of historical data reliably. That meant database work, redesigning long methods into maintainable units, and bringing CI to 19 client instances.

NairaCompare — price discovery and lending portals

Worked on NairaCompare, a price and lending comparison platform: built APIs and frontend components for loan listings, rates comparison, and partner integrations. Focused on building resilient endpoints and clear UX for finance products, and collaborated with product and marketing teams to iterate quickly on new features.

Dash Dispatch delivery apps

Built mobile and web components for Dash Dispatch including driver and merchant flows, real-time tracking using Google Maps APIs, and secure payment flows. Emphasized reliability under intermittent mobile networks and clear retry/queueing logic for delivery confirmations.

TESTMAX CBT App cross-platform assessments

Developed a cross-platform Computer-Based Testing app used for educational assessments. Implemented secure exam delivery, timed sessions, local caching of questions for offline use, and result export features for administrators.

How Market Naija — making marketplaces personal

A consumer marketplace that needed real-time vendor listings, wallet reliability, and a rewards system. I led the architecture and frontend for mobile and web, used RxJS-style streams and WebSockets to keep the UI live, and designed a rewards model that aligned incentives for vendors and customers.

Freelance & early work

Before product roles I shipped many smaller web and mobile apps — WordPress sites, an Ionic CBT app, and an array of client portals. These projects taught me to move fast, own the stack end-to-end, and ship usable interfaces under tight timelines.
